PROVIDING DAY CLUB HEALTHINESS PROGRAMS AND ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES TO SUPPORT ELDERLY PEOPLE WITHIN THEIR COMMUNITIES

Who We Are?

ICAN Group and its ICAN CARE operation exist for the sole purpose of providing programs and engagement activities to elderly people within their communities.

We are fixated on delivering services that enable a safe, structured environment that includes care programs and activities designed to permit older adults to remain within communities, living as independently as possible, with dignity and a renewed sense of purpose and hope. Through our motivational style and our excellent guidance, we help the elderly set and achieve personalized goals while cultivating an intellectual identity that serve them throughout their lives.

Our Services

As highlighted in our moto of “YES! I CAN DO IT”, realizing one’s capability and potential is at the center of our operations

Our goal for participants is to engage, socialize, and have a purpose

We offer interactive and social activities to encourage cognitive stimulation/maintenance and social development. Exercises and nutritional services promote healthy aging. We provide community-based care, so that a loved one can remain within their community or in the home. Other personal care services such as grooming, toilet hygiene, walking, and feeding are among the few we also provide on request basis

Our services vary and are all focused on supporting individuals with their active daily living (ADL) needs covering:

Companion Personal Care

  • - Non-medical day program
  • - Full day of activities
  • - Nutritious meals
  • - Assistance with personal care as needed

Community Center Day Care

  • - Assistance with personal care and ambulation as needed
  • - Full day of activities
  • - Nutritious lunch and snack
  • - Medication management
  • - Health monitoring
  • - Arranged and assisted transportation

Of course, we cover a wide variety of activities to meet all interests and abilities. We don’t let physical or cognitive limitations get in the way of having a good time! We strive to offer multiple activities throughout each day so that our participants are fully assisted with their active daily living needs. The participants are assisted to partake in all aspects to the best of their abilities by our well trained and good-natured staff. Whether you are caring for a loved one from a distance, or in your own home, we recognize that being a family member and a caregiver, while very rewarding, can be challenging and exhausting. By utilizing our program, you can rest easy knowing that they are spending their time fully supported. You can take time to attend to your own personal needs, to work, to recharge, and to take care of you. Family caregivers receive respite time so that they can better care for themselves.

The participants in the program are able to choose to join in what interests them most. Here, the activities are designed to be entertaining, stimulating, thought-provoking, and fun and typically include discussion groups, trivia, board, and card games, drama club, book club, crafts, gardening, handcrafts, woodworking, bowling, active games, singing, dancing, and so much more.

Our Staff

The elderly care operation is staffed with activities director, social worker, registered nurse, and certified assistants who do everything possible to make the participants feel welcome. With the registered nurse and assistants on site, attention to personal care are among our priorities. Our staff members are mastery of their subject material, willing to do everything possible, and skilled to craft effective personalized services to our participants. Of course, they are multilingual and well-versed in some languages. Please contact us to inquire if we can accommodate your lingual needs.

Of course, our team works with the member/participant, their family, their community, or their physician to perform an individualized plan of care or enrichment.

Our Pride

We strive to make every day meaningful, fun, and healthy for our participants. As our participants engage with our staff, problems and physical limitations become secondary to having a good time and laughter.

For the elderly, care oversight by our staff provide our participants and their families with another set of watchful eyes and often results in the identification of problems or concerns before they become crises. With services spanning from medication dispensing, blood pressure monitoring, and health screening, our staff is available to help families navigate resources and to help our participants adjust to the many changes they face at this stage of life. It is a team approach to providing the best in person centered care.

Transportation

For our Medicaid participants and depending on their eligibility, we facilitate the offering of door-to-door and hand-to-hand pick up and drop off transportation services. In order to attend their sessions, and depending on their needs, we are also happy to facilitate transportation to all of our other participants on private pay basis.

Hours of operation

Except for weekends and holidays, we are daily open between 8:00am – 5:00pm.

We run multiple sessions that typically continue for 6hrs each.

We accept most insurance

Almost all long-term care insurances are accepted. In Arizona, these include but are not limited to Mercy Care, Banner Health, and United Health Care. Please contact us to inquire if your insurance is accepted.

If you don’t have any qualifying insurance, we are happy to work with you on a private pay basis. Please reach us to inquire about available options for you and/or your family.
